The Hy-Vee Triathlon is among  25 “must see” Iowa events this summer, as chosen by state tourism and lottery officials.

The designation means the 2010 triathlon, has “earned a place of honor among our great state’s many noteworthy travel destinations,” according to Nancy Landess of the Iowa Tourism Office.

The entire list will be announced April 19.

As part of a joint promotion between the tourism office and the Iowa Lottery, the Hy-Vee Triathlon will be a “Silver Ticket Cash Stop” and host a $1,000 lottery giveaway.

The Silver Ticket game celebrates the lottery’s 25th anniversary and gives players the chance to win up to $25,000 instantly by entering a losing scratch ticket.
