Age Group Triathlon - Amateur Athletes
Packet pick-up is at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School on Friday, June 11, from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. CDT and Saturday, June 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. CDT. Each racer must pick up their own packet. The Triathlon Expo will also be held during this time.

Race briefings are held every half hour on Friday, June 11, from 12 noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday, June 12 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Briefings will be held at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School and take approximately 20 minutes. No admittance after current briefing starts.

Kids, Youth and Junior Triathlon
For the parents:

  • Download the visitor guide for family activities, schedules and maps. Find out more here
  • We strongly recommend that you pre-register your child and pick up your child's packet on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Raccoon River Park.
  • You and your child will have the opportunity to tour the course on Friday, June 11, 2010. Volunteers will be available to help guide you through the course.
  • Athletes must be registered and all bikes must be in bike transition by 6:45 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2010 for the Youth and Junior Triathlon, and by 8:45 a.m. for the Kids Triathlon.
  • A race briefing for the Youth and Junior Triathlon will be at 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010, before the race starts. The Kid's race briefing will take place at 8:40 a.m. Both race briefings will be held at the Pepsi stage in the expo area of Raccoon River Park.
  • Bikes may be claimed following the last race transition at Approximately 12:30 p.m. Wristband numbers will also be used at bike check-out assuring that each athlete leaves with his/her own bike. The venue could be congested; please walk bikes out of the park.

ITU Elite Cup
During the Triathlon, the Iowa Council for International Understanding will be arranging home stays for  elite athletes. If you are interested in home stays, please notify us by May 28, 2010.

KIDS CLINIC
We will once again be holding the annual Hy-Vee Triathlon Kid's Clinic on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Raccoon River Park in West Des Moines, IA. The clinic will be from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and is offered to 50 kids free of charge! Because we can only accept 50 kids for this clinic, we will randomly select 50 names after the registration period has closed on Friday, May 21, 2010.
