Proper Swim Technique Class

Proper swim technique is crucial to triathlon success. The seconds you can shave with an effective swim can prove invaluable, whether the swim leg is your strongest or weakest of the sport’s three components.

To give you that all-important edge in the water, Zoom Performance will offer a swim clinic Feb. 7, 2010 at the YMCA Healthy Living Center in Clive. Zoom’s new swim coach, Jason Wulf, will provide tips on how to “learn to practice” your stroke. It’s a philosophy designed to boost efficiency and increase speed to improve overall race times.

Participants will learn to:

  • Relax in the water
  • Swim from the core
  • Adjust body balance
  • Improve breathing technique

WHEN: Feb. 7, 2010. 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
WHERE: Healthy Living Center, 12493 University Ave., Clive.
COST: $50 for Zoom Performance athletes, DSMTri Club members, Drake Tri Club, U of Iowa Club and YMCA members; $60 for all other athletes
