Suzanne is from Springdale, Arkansas and grew up in New York. She played lacrosse in college and moved out to Arkansas in 2010, started training for triathlons in 2011, and her goal is to complete a half Ironman this year!
She has always been an avid athlete playing soccer, basketball, softball and lacrosse growing up. After college Suzanne was looking for something to stay motivated and in shape, however was not successful in finding a sport she loved as much as lacrosse. When she moved to Arkansas in 2010 a colleague introduced her to the sport of triathlon and she has not looked back since. Last year was Suzanne’s first year qualifying for the Championship. Additionally she has placed 2nd in her age group last year at the Iron Pig Duathlon.
Before each race she eats a bagel, peanut butter and banana. Her favorite time to train is in the morning so she can have the rest of the day to enjoy the high she gets after a good hard work out. In the upcoming triathlon Suzanne hopes to beat last years’ time and place in top half of all women.
